Web Design Ninjas In Kent
We Love WordPress
The most popular CMS in the world!
WordPress is an incredibly powerful Content Management System (CMS) that is perfect for all kinds of websites, from complex E-Commerce sites to simple portfolio sites, there is a WordPress theme for just about anything you can think of. We love WordPress and we are dedicated to using and developing it. We create our own bespoke themes, we also sometimes work with “off the peg” themes from respected theme designers, and the WordPress community of 2.7M means that we never go short of a few ideas to help us design a great site for our clients.
We Love/Hate Magento
The most powerful e-commerce system on the net
Magento has been developed purely for the purpose of e-commerce. It was recently bought by Ebay, that’s how good it is. Thousands of top online stores reply on Magento, Debenhams for example. Magento comes in two forms. The Enterprise Edition which is hosted by the Magento company itself, and has access to dozens of extensions with fully optimised servers and built in top level security. This is the most bomb proof solution, but like anything that’s top of the range, it has a price tag to match.
The Magento Community Edition is a free version anyone can download and get started with it, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it won’t cost anything or is easy in some way with over 40,000 files in it’s codebas you need to know what you are doing or you will be heading down the paddle shop for a particular creek in no time at all. The hosting needs to be perfect for Magento to run smoothly, and the coding needs to be compliant with the Magento standards. It’s no easy task setting up a Magento store, there are dozens of options. Luckily we are well versed in Magento and will cope with most of the stress for you.
Magento is only for serious online stores with at least 1000+ products, anything smaller that and it’s probably worth looking at an alternative, such as Woo Commerce for WordPress or maybe a mid sized e-commerce platform like Prestashop.
How to Look good on a mobile
Everyone is on their phones these days! not just texting but using websites and finding information as they go, they could be looking for your restaurant or the closest golf course, or maybe they want to know how much it is to get into your club, or your opening times. Many people leave the house and realize they need information which is available through their phone. If they land on your site and it looks like a postage stamp with buttons that are too small to use, they’ll go somewhere else right ?
A responsive site is built on a flexible framework , so the site “responds’ to the size of the screen viewing it. This can save a fortune in app development costs, and also means that only one site needs updating, again saving considerable costs.

Other Content Management Systems
There are many choices – we can work in many different ways
There are many other Content management Systems in use today, Joomla, Drupal, and Expression Engine are among the most popular for websites, Magento is one of the most popular e-commerce CMS’s. They all work on a similar principle but have different admin areas and different specialties. Joomla is very flexible and is often used as a solution to more complex business sites, Drupal is more powerful and complex still, The BBC used Drupal for their website, Magento is a very well supported open source e-commerce system which has many features for online stores, such as customer feedback and email subscriptions. We have experience of using all of these systems, so if you have something specific in mind or perhaps and old site that need updating contact us here
